MEV Learning Center's IGCSE English Language tutoring programme is built around the official IGCSE syllabus (Cambridge (0500/0990) & Edexcel International (4EA1)), so every lesson maps directly onto what students are tested on. We work on both the reading comprehension paper and the directed/extended writing tasks, since these need very different skills.
Our tutors focus on the areas students in IGCSE English Language typically find hardest, including summary writing, reading for inference, descriptive and narrative writing, and directed writing for a named audience. Each student starts with a short diagnostic assessment so we can identify gaps early and build a personalised study plan rather than teaching a generic curriculum.
Lessons are held live, one-to-one or in small groups of up to four, over Zoom with an interactive whiteboard, shared past-paper practice, and recorded sessions students can revisit before tests.
