How we select every tutor

Degree verification

Every tutor's academic credentials are verified before they teach. MEV does not accept self-reported qualifications-we verify the degree, the institution, and the subject.

Curriculum assessment

Subject knowledge is tested against the specific curriculum they will teach. A tutor who knows A-Level Biology must demonstrate they understand the IB mark scheme before teaching IB students.

Trial teaching session

Every tutor candidate teaches a supervised trial session. We assess clarity of explanation, exam technique knowledge, student engagement, and use of mark scheme language.

Ongoing quality review

Lesson reports, student progress data, and parent feedback are reviewed monthly. Tutors who don't maintain MEV's standard are retrained or replaced. No exceptions.
